Bringing home Birdie
Introducing Birdie, aka Sleek Kitty. She is a pregnant stray who is a few weeks from being due, but I was told earlier today that she could give birth as soon as next week. She tested negative for FelV and FIV, thankfully, and she seems to be in great overall health. She is full-grown but is very tiny and has fine, bird-like features, hence her name. Everyone who meets her loves her, as she is extremely friendly, doesn't bite or scratch, and really just wants loving. She is a lover for sure.
I wanted to start this blog to update friends and family on her situation. This is also a way to potentially attract those interested in adopting her kittens. My hopes is to post updates and pictures of Birdie and her kittens often. I would also love to be able to have homes lined up for the kittens as soon as they are weaned, which most likely won't be until Fall.
